Canna Lillies

Light: Full sun

Canna Lillies
Cannas do not actually belong to the lily family (lilium), they are related to banana trees.  The name canna originates from the celtic word for a cane or reed.  They are large tropical plants with huge leaves and flowers stalks.  The flowers are typically red, orange or yellow or a combination of these colours.  They like to grow in full sun and are not fussy about soil.  They flower in late summer.  The bulbs must be lifted and stored indoors for the winter, then potted up in the spring to start growing again..
We carry a few varieties, some are green leaved, some bronze.  They grow about 4 feet tall. Assorted coloured flowers.
